About Counselling
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe in a person's potential for growth and recognise the uniqueness of each individual. Through counselling I would hope to offer you space and time to be listened to, to be heard and understood, with empathy but without judgement.
Each person will deal with, and bring to counselling, issues that are unique to them. These issues can include:-
Anxiety Self-doubt, self-esteem, self-confidence Anger
Bereavement Negativity Depression
Loss Cultural Issues Addictions
Retirement Disability Attachments
Health Employment difficulties Grief
Relationship issues Weight loss/Stopping Smoking Fertility issues
As we work together with these issues I aim to offer a ‘talking therapy’ that is both confidential and responsive to your own feelings and beliefs.
I am a qualified and BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) Accredited Counsellor and offer you a caring and supportive place to talk about where you are in your life and your hopes for the future. I would like to help you explore how you approach life and relationships. We can talk about strategies you can use to look at the way you view yourself, others and the challenges life brings. By the end of counselling, I would hope that you would be in a stronger position to cope with the present and look forward to achieving a more fulfilling life in the future.
I aim to provide a high quality, professional, affordable counselling service for people who feel that counselling may help them overcome personal distress. As a BACP Accredited Counsellor, Registered Member MBACP (Accred), I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am fully insured and have an up to date and enhanced CRB check. I work with adults, children and young people.
